Dental One is proud to be supporting Dental Health Week in 2018
Taking place this year from 6 to 12 August, is the Australian Dental Association’s major annual oral health promotion event aims to educate Australians about the importance of maintaining good oral health. Since opening its first location in 2015, Dental One has always made a commitment to educating, developing and promoting good oral hygiene, particularly in young children.
The ADA actively promotes these key messages:
- Brush twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste.
- Clean in between teeth at least once a day with floss or an interdental brush
- Eat a healthy balance diet and limit sugar intake
- Regularly visit the dentist for check-ups and preventive treatment.
However, some of the ADA’s most recent findings show young Australians may be missing the message
This demonstrates that promoting key messages is more important than ever – Our focus on preventative dental care aims to widely promote these messages. This is also in line with our goal to make preventable dental more accessible and affordable for all.
This month we are asking all our patients to pay their oral health a little more attention! This may be setting yourself a goal to brush twice daily or cut out soft drink from your diet.
