DENTAL ONE COMES TO YOUR CHILDCARE CENTER
Dental One is delighted to offer all childcare centers local to one of our clinics a day of fun and interactive learning about oral hygiene. At Dental One, we have a passionate team whose goal is to spread their knowledge on all things dental.
One of our Oral Health Therapists and Dental Assistants will demonstrate to the children how to care for their teeth and teach them how to perform correct oral hygiene. The two-hour session is filled with fun interactive activities such as reading a picture story book ‘Dr. Rabbit meets a Brushalotamus’, this will help the children learn about what foods are beneficial for our teeth and what foods damage our teeth.
Following the presentations, the Oral Health Therapist will conduct a check-up on each child, a dental report is then provided to the parent/guardian. At the end of the visit, our team will hand out gift packs including a new toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, stickers, and information on how to care for baby teeth and what parents/guardians can expect dentally as their child is growing.
THE IMPORTANCE OF PREVENTION
Our primary teeth are critical to the alignment of our adult teeth, hence why we want to keep them until it is time for them to come out. If cavities and infections are caught early on we can prolong the life of the tooth.
We know that coming to the dentist can be a difficult time for some kids, the apprehension alone can cause a lot of anxiety for some.
By having our team come to your childcare center we can prepare the children on what to expect when coming into a dental clinic.
Our overall goal is to make coming to the dentist more comfortable and to spread the importance of oral hygiene.
