This involves biannual comprehensive oral examinations where our experienced dentists conduct thorough checks, including looking around your mouth, taking x-rays, and running specialised tests as needed. Regular checkups typically include a scale and clean to remove plaque and tartar, ensuring your teeth stay healthy.

What is included?
Comprehensive oral examination, full mouth clean and any X-rays that you require as well as a topical fluoride treatment.
The most affordable check-up and clean in Melbourne!
Our check up and clean package ($119) is only available for non-insurance patients. The total cost of this package has been significantly discounted and would usually consist of the following items and prices:
– Examination (011, 012) – $70
– Intraoral X-Ray (022) – $50 each
– Panoramic X-Ray (037) – $70 each
– Clean (111 or 114) – $70 – $119
– Topical Fluroide Treatment (121) – $45
Our Check Up and Clean includes X-Ray’s
Generally, a standard new patient examination consists of between 2 and 4 intra-oral x-rays (022) as well as a panoramic/full mouth x-ray (037) if necessary. These radiographs enable us to look at areas between the teeth and underneath existing fillings that may not be visible to the naked eye. Depending on your circumstances, the treating dentist may feel that it is necessary to take less or more x-rays to assist in the diagnosis.
Please note that we only use digital radiographic technology and the radiation exposure from these x-rays is significantly less than older film based systems.
No Gap with Insurance for Regular Checkups
We understand that managing your family’s health expenses can be challenging, so at DentalOne, we offer these services under our no-gap policy – If your family is covered for General Dentistry by a recognised Australian Private Health Fund and it pays out a benefit for the treatment claimed, your child’s twice-yearly examinations will be completely free!
