Twilight Sedation Dentistry
At Dental One we understand that one of the barriers preventing people from accessing dental treatment can be feelings of anxiety and discomfort and that some patients prefer to be asleep for as much of their work as possible. With our Twilight Sedation service you now have the perfect solution to manage any discomfort associated with large treatment plans.
This option is only suitable for patients who require significant treatment such as multiple fillings, extractions, root canal or crown/bridge work.
About Twilight Sedation Dentistry
Twilight Sedation (otherwise call Sleep Dentistry or Conscious Sedation) deals with the management of anxiety through the use of intravenous conscious sedation.
The sedation service is provided at Dental One by Dr Barry Creighton who has completed a further 2 years of post-graduate studies and has many years of experience working with anxious patients.
Dental Sedation is not for everyone and generally will be suitable depending on the type of treatment you are having performed and your general health.
You will need to first be assessed by one of our dentists to have a treatment plan prepared. If your plan is suitable then you will have a consultation at Dr Creighton’s rooms in Caulfield to determine your suitability. Once given the all clear we can book you in on a suitable day and start the procedure.
Fees will vary from patient to patient but start at $150 for a consultation with Dr Creighton and a $1500 flate rate sedation. This is in addition to your treatment plan fees.
