In chair whitening is a relatively quick procedure done in the dental chair by appointment and can take roughly 1 hour to achieve your whitest result.
During this hour the clinician will apply protective barriers over the cheeks and gums and a strong whitening agent is then applied to the tooth to remove all surface stains.
Take home whitening is a lengthier process, as the take home whitening agent is of a lower strength than the In-Chair whitening agent. It can take up to 2 weeks of daily application to achieve the same results as the In-Chair option.
The clinician will make custom trays of your teeth and the special whitening agent is supplied to you along with instructions.
You will need to wear the trays daily for approximately 30 min and for roughly 2 weeks to achieve your whitest result.
Please note that some sensitivity during and after whitening is expected and should not last more than 24 hrs.
We recommend a full check up and clean prior to any whitening treatment, removing any residual staining can enhance the results of your whitening treatment.
At this appointment we will assess the overall health of your mouth and discuss with you any concerns prior to your whitening.
Whitening results vary from person to person depending on the original colour of your enamel.
Whitening removes stains that accumulate over time. So you would always get a whiter result than you currently have, however how white you would go always depends on the natural colour of the tooth.
Your whitening results can last for several months or even years depending on your daily diet. If you regularly consume foods high in tannins eg red wine, turmeric, coffee etc or you are a smoker, the results will not be as long lasting.
We usually recommend in this instance to either repeat the treatment as needed or purchase a take home maintenance kit to ensure your teeth always remain at their whitest.
Yes we do! Our Oral Health Therapists are specially trained to see children of all ages, and will be able to assist in maintaining good oral hygiene through in-clinic and home care instructions. They are also trained to be able to discuss any orthodontic requirements.
Depending on the initial arrangement, size and the material used, some veneers may be reversible.
You will need to have a smile assessment with a dentist who will go through what you would like to achieve and what options are available in order to see what type of veneer would give you the result you would be happy with.

Clear Aligners
On average, it can take anywhere from three to eighteen months to straighten teeth with clear aligners. Some cases can take over a year. Every case is different and will depend on how much your teeth need to move. Our dentist will be able to tell you how long your treatment is likely to take after you have had an intra-oral scan or impressions of your teeth at your first appointment.
A bit of discomfort with your first aligner is totally normal as it’s starting to move your teeth. Sometimes changing from one aligner to the next can be a bit uncomfortable, but it will settle over time.
Yes, our dentist take a full month 3D scan at you first appointment and you will be able to see how your teeth may look after clear aligner treatment.
Our next appointment for clear aligners will depend on what is available in which of our 8 locations but we aim to see you as soon as we can. After your first appointment and agreeing to your treatment plan you can expect to receive your clear aligners within two to three weeks.
Every clear aligner case is different, but it is usual to have between 10 and 20 sets of aligners over the course of your treatment. Our dentist may also prescribe retainers at the end of aligner treatment to prevent your teeth from relapsing.
